Sachin Tendulkar Amazed by SRH’s Outstanding Shows Against DC: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024’s most vicious teams are the Surisers Hyderabad (SRH). Every time the Orange Army plays a group stage game, they break records, led by the recently appointed Pat Cummins.
Their most recent victory was on Saturday night when they defeated Delhi Capital by an enormous margin of 67 runs in their own turf. This was their third 250-plus total in the current competition.

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, the openers, mounted an attack on the DC bowlers, amassing 131 runs for the first wicket in the Powerplay alone. With six sixes and eleven boundaries in a 32-ball performance of 89, the Australian batsman top-scored.
All-rounder Shabaz Nadeem made a half-century down the order to help the SRH record 266/7 in 20 overs.
DC responded by attempting to match SRH’s ferocity with a few early pyrotechnics. Abhishek Porel added a 22-ball 42 to help his team gain a fast start in the massive chase, which was spearheaded by Jake Fraser-McGurk’s 15-ball half-century.
With five balls remaining, the hosts were dismissed for 199 after running out of steam due to their dismissals.

Sunrisers’ exploits continue to surprise the experts of the game. Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar heaped huge praise on the Cummins & Co. for their all-round show in Delhi on Saturday.
“What is it with @SunRisers that they’ve gotten past 260 thrice in this season alone! Today was a game where they completely outclassed @DelhiCapitals. They, of course, batted well thanks to a mind-boggling start by @travishead34 & @IamAbhiSharma4 and a wonderful finish by Shahbaz. And in the 2nd half of the game, they bowled much better than DC, with their variations proving to be very effective. Well played, SRH,” Tendulkar wrote on X.
Captain of DC Rishabh Pant said his team was practically playing catch up the entire time after Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a massive “power play” by hammering 125 runs to set a new IPL record.

“I think power play was the difference. We were just catching up throughout the match. That was the massive difference. Hopefully, we will come back with more thought process and clear mindset,” said Pant.
“The only thought process behind that (deciding to bowl first) was we thought there would be some dew but it didn’t come. I thought if we could restrict them to 220-230, we would be in with a chance,” he added.
