Asia Cup Sqaud 2025: Shubhman Gill is Likely Dropped with other Big Name
The Board of Controll for Cricket in India (NCCI) selectino committee, head coach Ajit Agarkar is set tto meet in Mumbai on Tuesday to finalize India's squad for the Asia Cup 2025.
The selectors will have to face crucial decisions, incliuding the possible omission of Test skipper Shubhman Gill from the T20I Squad.

As per the Cricbuzz, Shubhman Gill may nont find a place in the As Cup roster, with the committee preferring Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson as the first-choich opening pair.
The selectors considered Yashasvi Jaiswal as the third opener, intead of Shubhman Gill. However, Gill’s inclusion could still depend on head coach Gautam Gambhir's inputs.
If Gambhir names Shubhman Gill then Jaiswal might have to make away.
On the other hand, Jasprit BUmrah is expected to retain his post despite recent fitness issues, with Arshdeep Singh, P Krishna, and harshit Rana forming the pace unit.
Mohammed Shami is also set to miss out. Fo the middle order, Tilak Verma, SKY and Rinku Singh are considered, while S Iyer could miss out despite a strong IPL season.
A confusion between all rounder , Hardik Pandya remains a toss-up between Shivam Dube and Washingto Sundar.
However, squad announcement is highly anticipated, with the decisions reflecting both the depth of India's talent pool and the fierce competition for places, largely driven by standout performances in the IPL.
