Interestingly, according to the BCCI, a player can be deemed uncapped if they have not played for India in the previous five years or if they have a central contract with the organization. It would thus be intriguing to watch how CSK approaches the IPL mega auctions and whether or not they will keep Dhoni under the new criteria, given that there are six retentions and RTM probability.
